How would you describe your career path in a few words?

I have always been self-driven and curious to learn. As a young adult, I envisioned myself as a productive professional but never imagined becoming a founder leading a team in the business world. After starting my career as an Architect in the corporate world, I discovered that it was limited to creating the positive change I wanted to see in the built environment, and I hit a glass ceiling. This realization led me to work on community-based projects in over ten countries, which equipped me with the tools to become an entrepreneur. I found ways to validate my services and products to ensure successful ventures. In a few words, I would describe my career path as "against all odds." What was your most challenging experience? How did it change your mindset?

My most challenging experience was early on in my career when I did not have any role models or mentors to whom I could relate. I was led to believe that I needed validation or approval from people who did not have much to offer. This experience challenged me to surround myself with more interesting professionals and helped me see people beyond their titles, but rather their capacity to give, lead, and inspire. This shifted my mindset to be part of radical collaborative circles where I can be hands-on support when my peers need it. I learned that delegation and collaboration help the whole team to grow and that there is no limit to what we can achieve when we work together.

What skills should an entrepreneur develop in 2023?

Entrepreneurs in 2023 need to have the courage to take calculated risks, the creativity to think outside the box, and the resilience to bounce back from failure. They need to be able to capitalize on all available resources and be open to new ideas and opportunities. Entrepreneurs should own their vision and be committed to making a positive impact in the world. They should never follow a trend if it doesn't fit their goals and should always remain true to their values and purpose. With these skills, entrepreneurs can achieve anything they set their minds to.

Based on your recent experiences, what advice do you have for an entrepreneur's success in 2023?

My advice for entrepreneurs in 2023 is to embrace failure as a stepping stone to success. If you are not failing and learning something new every day, you are not pushing yourself hard enough. Reach out to others and be part of a supportive network or relationship that encourages you to take risks and be your best self. Make sure you are in love with what you do and let that passion drive you forward. Always be specific and relevant in your requests, and never be afraid to ask for help when you need it. With the right mindset, skills, and support, there is no limit to what you can achieve.
